Mega Man 4 Cheat: All Weapons and Items
For all weapons and items, enter the password "A1 A4 B5 E2 F1 F3".

Mega Man 4 Unlockable: Secret Weapons
In Dive Man's level, after beating the second whale, there should be a hole nearby. Fall in it and dodge all the spikes to find the Wire Power. This power allows you you to hang on the ceiling and hit enemies for fair damage.
In Pharoah Man's level, instead of entering the first hole, use the R.Coil to jump over it. Go past the desert to find the Baloon Power. This allows you to release balloons that you can jump on.

Mega Man 4 Hint: Free Pharaoh Shots
To kill with the Pharaoh Shot without using energy, power up a shot, then hit something while the shot is still building. Press Start then resume play and power up the shot again. Repeat as needed.

Mega Man 4 Hint: Boss Weaknesses/Order
Below is the suggested order to defeat the Robot Masters in, as well as which weapons to use on both them and the bosses in Dr. Cossack’s and Dr. Wily’s castles.

• Toad Man - Use Mega Buster

• Pharaoh Man - Use Flash Stopper
• Ring Man - Use Pharaoh Shot
• Dust Man - Use Ring Boomerang
• Skull Man - Use Dust Crusher
• Dive Man - Use Skull Barrier
• Drill Man - Use Dive Missile

• Massive Drill - Use Ring Boomerang
• Room Enemy - Use Dust Crusher
• Wall Robots - Use Ring Boomerang
• Dr. Cossack - Use Mega Buster
• Massive Met - Use Ring Boomerang
• Bomb Dispenser - Use Ring Boomerang
• Dr. Wily #1 - Use Ring Boomerang
• Dr. Wily #2 - Use Drill Bomb
• Dr. Wily #3 - Use Pharaoh Shot

Mega Man 4 Hint: Tricking Flip-Top
At certain predetermined places throughout the game, such as on Ring Man’s stage or Skull Man’s stage, you’ll run into a new robot buddy of Mega Man’s called Eddie, or Flip-Top. He’s a small red container-like robot that will dispense a random item to Mega Man before heading back to Dr. Light’s lab.

However, many times Flip-Top gives you an item you don’t really need, like a weapon energy pellet. If you want to make him give you something else, ignore the item he tried to give you and leave the room where you encountered him. When you head back, Flip-Top will reappear (as long as you didn’t grab his initial item) and give you another randomized item. Since Flip-Top can give you not only energy pellets but extra lives and E-Tanks as well, tricking him into giving you something valuable is well worth it!
